New RallyBird Baseball ScorePage

Download the 2023 RallyBird Baseball scorepage pdf here.

Hello! It’s June, 2023! Baseball is well underway. The RallyBird Baseball Board Game is available and selling! MLB’s rule changes this year has cut game time by 41 minutes! How do you feel about it? So far I like it, as I think the time that crept in was not essential to the game (bloat), and returns it to more of a classic game flow. I also like that it arguably can increase the appeal of baseball to casual viewers.

I have conjured up a new, improved RallyBird Baseball scoresheet, which you can view and download below. Over time I’ll post some of my own filled-out scoresheets. My idea is that for those who want to try it, this scorepad can increase the enjoyment of the game, and increase rivalry and provide data for lively discussion (including but not limited to chatter, gloating and bragging). It also could lead to the fun of trying different tactics and seeing, over time, how they play out. There’s plenty of space for you to name the players if you wish.

I’ll look into including one of these double-sided pages in future releases of the RallyBird Baseball Board Game. I pause, however, because I wonder if I should include a small section in the rules that shows how to fill it out. Redoing the rules would be a huge project. Or maybe I should include a copy of a score page of a game I myself played out… What do you think?

#LiveStream Recorded #RallyBird #StayHome #Baseball #BoardGame Session 9

Pete vs Suzie. May 12, 2020. Game number 9 in the #StayHome series. After Suzie told me about her familiarity with softball, we launched into an overview of the rules with a couple of practice At Bats. The game starts about the 12:00 mark and moves along quickly. There was some Internet fuzziness here and there but it’s not too bad–I’m grateful for the chance to play this way, and share it with anyone interested.

Suzie named her lineup of 4 (based on the number of team tokens): 1. Chauncy, 2. Chad, 3. Brad, 4. Sad.

She learned the rules quickly and was even able to correct me on the final play.

The game had a dramatic finish! Whether relatedly or not, Suzie is a fan of the Rally Bird. She called it the Equity Bird.

Hooray! StayHome LiveStream RallyBird Baseball continues! This is the 3rd game vs Drew in our series of 7. A wonderful surprise guest came: Sara, as a hotdog vendor at the 33:00 time mark!

What decided the course of this game was the long bomb and general player execution (or lack there of!). This was the first game of a double-header…

And below is our second game, which had an entirely different plot:

#Livestream Recorded #RallyBird #StayHome #Baseball #BoardGame Game 6! This time I played Mckensi, a wonderful person I’ve known since she was little. She animates her surroundings. She didn’t know much about baseball or the board game before we started but was still eager to play. And I, I told her I would not give her any trash talk until the 9th inning. This proved more difficult than I expected.

It was a blast–a session with crazy building tension and extra innings! Thank you Mckensi!!! Let’s play again! The YouTube description includes a link to her artwork.

#Livestream Recorded #RallyBird #StayHome #Baseball #BoardGame Game 5

StayHome LiveStream RallyBird Baseball games continue, reaching number 5. Here Drew and I meet for a second time in what promises to be a series. As you can see in the thumbnail picture, events occurred which inspired me to throw my hat.

Big thanks to Drew for playing! See you for game 3 of our series soon….
